ARPATARPAT is a Tuscany Agency mainly involved in environmental pollution control due to chemical, physical and biological agents. It is organised with a central direction and eleven departments distributed on the territory.Within acoustics and noise pollution ARPAT activities include either measurement campaigns and applied research. Special experience has been acquired in measurement in urban and rural area and near transportation infrastutures (railways, roads, airports). Great effort has been spent in validating existing mathematical models for noise mapping for the italian situation and some models has been self produced and tested, especially for railway and road traffic. |
