DeBAKOM is working in the field of environmental acoustics and odours. It is specialised in noise inventories, noise mapping, noise planning, certificates of approval. It has developed automatic long term measurement of noise, statistical source separation, pattern recognition. The soft-and hardware is used for monitoring of noise by governmental agencies, auditors and industry including active noise control of industrial activities. Due to this, propagation calculation and monitoring has always been part of the activities.

DeBAKOM has developed a ray tracing model to improve the quality of the noise prognosis in special cases.
