P2P model and Nuclear Power

[27 September 2005]

Research in the propagation of noise has already resulted in adoption of the Harmonoise point-to-point (P2P) calculation model. This resulted in better agreement between the P2P and the results from the reference calculations made in Harmonoise. Further research is made into the subject of lateral diffraction. During September noise measurements have been taken at a nuclear power station in France. These measurements will provide IMAGINE with data to check the noise propagation algorithm in the P2P model. Read more about the point-to-point model here.
