Boeing Research and Technology Center
The Boeing Research and Technology Center S.L. of Madrid (Boeing RTE - Spain) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, the world's leading aerospace company. The mission of this Research Center is to perform collaborative R&D in Europe and to contribute to the establishment of a permanent footprint for Boeing in Europe by actively engaging the local R&D community. The Madrid BR&TE started operating in early July 2002, and is part of Boeing's initiative to transform itself into a truly global enterprise, with a stronger local presence in countries around the world. Boeing RTE aims at becoming a publicly recognized Boeing Center of Advanced Aerospace Technology focusing on three Application Areas: Air Traffic Management (ATM), Aircraft Safety and Environmental technologies. The BR&TE is already actively cooperating with European aviation stakeholders to help design the Air Traffic System for the 21st Century that will meet the environmental, safety, security and capacity requirements of the European Single Sky initiative.
